Group Offerings
I currently offer a monthly mindfulness and movement event called Presence in Motion at The Alembic in Berkeley. Additionally, I teach a free weekly online meditation class and host Mindfulness, Embodiment & Tango workshops periodically for tango dancers. Details below:
Presence in Motion:
Mindfulness & Movement
Third Mondays, upcoming dates: Aug 19, Sept 16, Oct 21
7-8:30pm
at The Alembic, Berkeley, CA
Presence in Motion is an opportunity to explore, practice, and deepen awareness and embodiment in the shared space of community. Each week we will explore different modes of presence — guided sitting, walking meditation, and a variety of movement practices, explored with both silence and music. A theme will be woven throughout each evening with invitations to experience groundedness, embodied presence, and various subtle qualities of movement, as we deepen somatic awareness and explore the vibrations of being. We will guide and nourish our moving bodies while returning to explore our changing inner landscape. The practice is a chance to show up for ourselves, and be just as we are, allowing our bodies and beings to unfold organically.
This class is open to mindful explorers and movers of all levels, no prior experience required. Please come as you are, with a heart and mind open to whatever ways your experience unfolds. We practice together, nurturing connection to ourselves, others, and the broader world of beings..

Join me for a free weekly online mindfulness meditation class, where we’ll meditate together for about 25-30 minutes. I will guide you through meditations focused on the breath, body, sensations, thoughts, and emotions. Mindfulness meditation can help reduce anxiety and stress, fostering peace and equanimity. Both new and experienced meditators are welcome—no prior experience is needed. We’ll also have time for questions and sharing at the beginning and end of each session.

Mindfulness, Embodiment & Tango
Next date: Saturday Sept 7th
10am-noon
in Oakland, CA
limited spots available!
In this workshop we will explore silence, gravity, space, our hands and feet, as they relate to our axis, stillness and movement. We will inquire into our inner experience as we meditate, walk, and dance on our own and with partners.
This is as much a mini meditation retreat as a movement workshop, more of an awareness practice than a tango class.
Some tango dance experience required, as the workshop is intended for tango dancers, and we will use tango as one of our methods of exploration. The workshop will be held in silence (no talking) to foster mindfulness and awareness of our inner experience.

"I truly enjoyed Mira's largely silent guided meditation today. It was restful and helped me to be centered. I felt safe in the space and I felt welcome within a community that is new to me. Thank you all for the practice." – Karen M.
"I was going through an extremely difficult period of time in my life. I decided to register for a full day Mediation Workshop with Mira focusing on Mindfulness & Movement. I had hoped that this would aid me in coping with some of the anxiety, low self-esteem and confusing emotions that I was experiencing. This workshop ended up having a profound impact on my life. In this highly supportive setting, I was able to explore many different techniques of mediation. Each aspect of my journey brought me into Mindful awareness and into the present moment. This simultaneously helped eliminate painful and negative thoughts and my mental state iteratively and progressively achieved calmness by being in the present moment. I slowly began to acknowledge and accept my self worth and in return I started to feel comfortable in my own skin." – Ozzie G.
